Carrollton Junior Woman's Club
The Carrollton Junior Woman's Club (CJWC) is a nonprofit volunteer organization committed to excellent community service, the continuous personal growth of our members and the development of life-long friendships. We are women devoted to the city of Carrollton, GA who strive to serve women, children and our community as a whole.
CJWC was organized in November of 1957 and was federated in January of 1958.
CJWC is a nonprofit organization. Each year we raise thousands of dollars to distribute to our many projects and local charities and contribute heavily to our community through service work and volunteerism.
GENERAL FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S CLUBS
CJWC is a local club under the umbrella of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC).
GFWC is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Members understand that there is no single issue and no single solution. We are distinguished from other nonprofit organizations in that we have the freedom to shape programs and projects that suit the Carrollton community.
Becoming a GFWC member means joining a local GFWC club, where more than 100,000 members are actively engaged in volunteer community service in approximately 4,000 clubs across the globe.
Our members are all ages, have all sorts of interests and live very different lives, and yet we all have one common desire - to make a lasting impact.
We created the Carrollton Junior Woman's Club Scholarship at the University of West Georgia with the hope that our financial and social contributions might enhance the college experience of one dedicated student each year.

We are proud to claim ownership of the Carrollton Junior Woman Club's mile at Brumbelow Road. Every quarter, we host a road cleanup to maintain its cleanliness.

Beyond putting our beliefs into action in our hometown, every year we host a handful of annual fundraisers that fund the work we do. Monies left over at the end of the calendar year are then disbursed to local organizations in need.

Our most prominent focus as a Club is community. Every act of service we complete is done to help our small part of the world, and our community partners allow us access to that direct impact - from the local Women's Shelter to churches to business leaders and more.

In joining CJWC, you'll have the opportunity to work with other women in the community to improve the social, cultural and physical needs in our town, and in doing so, you will make life-long friends, gain new knowledge and become a better citizen.
Join us for any of our monthly meetings, typically held at the Stallings Community Center or City Station. Further details for each meeting can be found in our Calendar of Events.
These occur on the second Tuesday of every month, excluding the months of June, July and August, at 6:30 PM. After getting to know the club at such a meeting, we'd love to have you consider becoming a member and making a difference with us.
Membership in the GFWC CJWC shall be open to all women age 18 and over residing in the city of Carrollton and the surrounding areas who have a desire to better the community through participation in community service and who have attended regular monthly meetings of the club or orientation.
Active members are required to attend meetings, pay dues, serve on at least one community service program and put in 50 hours of service each year.
Installation of new members occurs bi-annually. Please email for more information.
